Amoudara is located approx. 4km from the Island's capital Heraklion and 7 km from the city's airport. The long, sandy beach of Amoudara is 6km long, it runs from Heraklion to Linoperamata and with so much space the beach never feels overcrowded, even in the peak summer season.

Amoudara is a quiet resort, yet has an abundance of shops, bars & taverns to suit all tastes. There are several pharmacies and medical centres and the local bus service to Heraklion and the airport runs every 30 mins from 6am in the morning until late into the evening, the resort also has several car hire companies.

Getting to Amoudara from the airport couldn't be easier, with a taxi rank located immediately outside the arrivals gate, which always has taxis at hand whenever a flight has arrived, or, just in front of the airport you can catch the local bus which will take you directly to Amoudara for just over €1euro

A short journey by bus or taxi, and you will soon be relaxing and enjoying the fabulous Cretan sunshine in Amoudara.
